Position Summary 

Under the Close Supervision of the Service Manager, moves and cleans vehicles, keeps the vehicles in sound working condition, and helps service manager and general manager as requested.  Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the company. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains new and used vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary. 
  • Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles. 
  • Keeps new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards. 
  • Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas. 
  • Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations. 
  • Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed. 
  • Makes key tags for vehicles. 
  • Maintain a cooperative manner with other employees 
  • Any other duties as assigned by management 
  • Employee must clock in at the beginning of each shift and clock out at the end of each shift.  Any overtime must be approved in writing by the Service Manager prior to the accrual of overtime. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has no supervisor responsibilities

This is a safety sensitive position that may require driving for company business, so the individual must be insurable through the MVD. 

Education and Experience: 

Previous experience desired.  A current valid NM Driver’s License and a clean driving record is required.  

Physical Demands: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly standing, watching, touching, listening and frequently walking, talking, reaching, feeling, grasping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, lifting. This position will regularly lift up to 50 pounds. 

Work Environment: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outdoor conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to car fumes and loud noises from vehicle motors.
